If you’ve played a Mega Man game then you probably already know that pattern recognition is an integral part of each and every stage. Mega Man 2 could be a pretty difficult game, but many gamers learned very quickly that obtaining the Metal Blade from Metal Man can almost break the game. Being able to throw this blade in all 8 directions made the Blue Bomber a force to be reckoned with. With such a large diameter, the Metal Blade’s lethal edges would slice and dice Dr. Wiley’s robots up like a hot knife through butter. Getting this power-up first meant making the player feel as though they could conquer the world, especially when considering how difficult the first Mega Man game was. Just to give you an idea how powerful the Metal Blade is, most let’s players on YouTube will not get this power-up until the end of the game to give themselves more of a challenge.
