Dana Bina is chief technology officer of @properties, the Chicago-based parent company of the @properties and Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate networks. Bina, alongside @properties’ Chief Operating Officer Joni Meyerowitz, is responsible for the development, rollout and ongoing management of @properties’ proprietary technology suite known as pl@tform. Bina and her team are the driving force behind pl@tform’s suite of tools, which allows agents to digitally manage all aspects of the real estate transaction and client relationship. pl@tform’s main components include @properties’ Deal Management System, CRM, Digital Comparative Market Analysis, Digital Listing Presentation, marketing tools such as e-Campaigns and Content Hub, and the @agent app — an internal communications tool. 

The latest additions to pl@tform include MoveLogic, an AI-driven propensity scoring model that predicts which contacts in an agent’s database are most likely to buy and/or sell a home, and Closing Milestones, a consumer-facing portal that gives buyers and sellers the ability to track their real estate transaction from contract to close. @properties has organically built a fully integrated system from the ground up, employing only a few dozen engineers.

Considering that less than 10% of CTOs in America are female, Bina is a standout in more ways than one. Since joining the company in 2020, Bina has grown the development team from a handful of software engineers to a full-scale practice, including engineering, product and UI/UX teams. Her team continues to improve pl@tform, rolling out new features on a regular basis and establishing @properties as the benchmark for technological innovation in the real estate industry.
