Star Ocean The Second Story R – Cleaning up the World Map Walkthrough: No Stones Will Be Left Unturned.

Before heading back to Lacuer City or the Lacuer Front Line Base, it’s time to take care of any left-behind items, fishing spot locations, or guild missions we may have missed. This is where your “Bunny Call” specialty is going to come in handy. Listed below are some spots you should stop at if you haven’t already to grab any chests we may have missed since this will be the last time we can take care of this for quite a while.

Below, we’ll list a couple of areas you should visit with your “Bunny Call” skill before you do anything else, so without delay, let’s get started.

• Arlia: Fast travel back to Arlia and head out to these areas.
  • Exit Arlia and head toward the mountainous area to the Northeast of town. You’ll pass through a small sector of forest where you will find a chest with Engineer’s Handbook x5 inside.
  • Literally, just head up to the top of the mountains where you grabbed the last item from, and there at the summit will be a chest containing The Bestiary x2.

• Krosse: Fast travel to Krosse and search the areas below.
  • From here, head northeast over the mountains until you reach a patch of green mountains overlooking a stretch of beachfront. Head down to the beach, where you will find another Unique Spot- A Coral Paradise, which will grant us 500 XP and a Blue Talisman.
  • Afterward, head directly to the stretch of beach to the right and grab the chest containing Magic Canvas x4.
  • You can find a chest with Resurrection Mist x2 by fast traveling back to Krosse City and then using Bunny to head west to the desert area by the Lasgus Mountains. From the dungeon entrance, just go Northwest into the desert until you see a Raid enemy ahead of you and water to your left. You’ll see the chest sitting right off to your left.
  • Continue East from this chest until you see a ravine or some kind of rock formation. There will be a chest containing Vera Idol x2.
  • From here, continue to the West side of the map, where you’ll run into some ruins and your next Unique Spot- Ruins in the Desert, which grants us 1000 XP and Twin Slicers+.
  • If you look straight ahead from the ruins, you’ll see a large rock formation. Head to the rocks and follow them along to the left, where there will be a chest with Star Ruby x4 waiting for you.

• Kurik:
  • If you’re leaving from Kurik, just head to the waterfall and make your way to the left side. On the third highest ledge will be a chest containing Yogurt.
  • If you look down slightly, you’ll spot another chest just a bit below where you are standing now. Just head down a couple of ledges below you, where you’ll find a chest containing a Plate Helmet.
  • Head to the North from this chest, where you’ll see a cliff overlooking the water. Make your way to that cliff and look over the ledge. Just beneath you will be a chest containing Friends of the Woods x4.
  • Look to the right of the chest, where you will see what looks like a set of mountains. Head over that way, where you’ll find a chest containing Faerie Mist x2.

• Mountain Palace:
  • Head up the mountain right behind the Mountain Palace, where you’ll find a grass-filled ledge with a chest containing Princess Ring+.
  • Make your way to the ledge straight ahead of you to get the chest with Plate Helmet+.

• Linga: Just in case you didn’t grab this earlier
  • Head to the left side behind the town, where you’ll see another ledge near the water. You’ll see a slight glimpse of a chest, so head that way and grab the chest containing Aphrodisiac.

Once you’re done collecting these items, it is time to fast travel back to Lacuer City, where a conversation with a guard will take place. Now that the chit-chatting is done, head to the castle and then the throne room, where you’ll meet with the king and let him know the mission was a success. Once this scene is done, you’ll pretty much get manipulated into taking place in the upcoming battle, so with all that said and done, let’s head to the Lacuer Front Line.

Fast travel back to Hilton and make your way out of town. This time, instead of going straight to Lacuer, ignore the first left turn and, take the next left path and follow it all the way until you see a split in the mountains. To your right will be a chest containing Scroll of Power x5; this can only be reached if you are on the bunny, but make sure to grab this on the way. If you are on foot, just continue to follow the dirt path curving to the right. You’ll eventually reach a slight split where you can go either right and head to the base or left for a quick detour. You want to head left first since there will be a chest at the end of this path containing Starry Night.

From here, head back and take the opposite path, which will lead you to the Lacuer Front Line Base.
